De La Salle University-Dasmariñas and the Ecowaste Coalition signed a renewal for another year of collaborative efforts towards environmental research.
The University was represented by DLSU-D President Br. Francisco "Sockie" dela Rosa VI FSC and Vice Chancellor for Academics and Research Dr. Cristina Salibay. Ecowaste was represented by its national coordinator Aileen Sison.
In 2023, DLSU-D, Ecowaste, and the Korea International Cooperation Agency, completed a research project on marine litter for the NCR and CALABARZON regions, highlighting the impact of the "sachet economy" and the surge in single-use utensils during the pandemic.
The renewed collaboration seeks to strengthen research initiatives aimed at preserving marine ecosystems and safeguarding the well-being of communities reliant on coastal resources.
