De La Salle University-Dasmariñas and the Ecowaste Coalition signed a renewal for another year of collaborative efforts towards environmental research.
The University was represented by DLSU-D President Br. Francisco "Sockie" dela Rosa VI FSC and Vice Chief Administrative Officer for Academics and Research Dr. Cristina Salibay. Ecowaste was represented by its national coordinator Aileen Sison.
In 2023, DLSU-D, Ecowaste, and the Korea International Cooperation Agency, completed a research project on marine litter for the NCR and CALABARZON regions, highlighting the impact of the "sachet economy" and the surge in single-use utensils during the pandemic.
The renewed collaboration seeks to strengthen research initiatives aimed at preserving marine ecosystems and safeguarding the well-being of communities reliant on coastal resources.
