DLSU-D Deputy Provost for Research Dr. Johnny Ching and University Research Office Director Dr. Jose Aims Rocina recently held talks with members of EDCOM 2.

EDCOM 2 is a congressional committee mandated to conduct a comprehensive national assessment and evaluation of the performance of the Philippine education sector and recommend transformative, concrete and targeted reforms in the sector.

DLSU-D was among the universities tapped to conduct case studies to address pressing challenges of the education sector in the province of Cavite. The researches will be conducted by DLSU-D’s College of Education, a CHEd Center of Excellence.

“We always grab the opportunity to serve and to contribute something positive for our country thru research. Our partnership with EDCOM2 gave us this opportunity to explore how DLSU-D can drive a positive impact on Philippine education,” Dr. Ching said after the meeting.
