
The DLSU-D community celebrated the 38th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution with a Eucharistic celebration, a democracy march, and a talk by Francis Aquino Dee from the Ninoy and Cory Aquino Foundation and the Department of Political Science of the University of the Philippines-Diliman.
Students, faculty and staff gathered at the Br. Gus Boquer FSC Heritage Complex to display placards advocating for democracy and remembrance of the legacy of the bloodless revolution.
“The commemoration of EDSA 1 at our university is not merely a reflection on the past but a call to become responsible citizens who are committed to promoting peace and the common good, by honoring the spirit of EDSA 1, we renew our commitment to upholding the Constitution as a guide against deceitful initiatives that malign the foundations of our democracy,” the University statement read.
