The Lasallian community is enjoined to visit the exhibit entitled “Kwadro: A Visual Journey Through the Frames of Museo de La Salle.” The event will run from February 1-15, 2024.
This exhibition goes beyond the ordinary, inviting visitors to discover the history, culture, and craftsmanship woven into each carefully selected frame and shares a peek into the artistry of preserving and enhancing visual stories, presenting frames as storytellers of the tales captured within – emotions and moments frozen in time.
Kwadro goes beyond just looks, guiding guests through the evolution of picture frame design over different periods, creating a dialogue between the past and present. From the intricate frames of the Renaissance to the flowing shapes of Art Nouveau, the visually pleasing machine-made art deco, and the sleek minimalism of the modern era – each style showcases the transformation of form and function.
In an age where visual storytelling is crucial, this exhibition reveals that frames are more than mere decorations; they are vessels shaping our perception and connection to art and memory. Frames act as a crossroads between history and contemporary culture, cradling an image while reflecting the ever-changing narrative of our collective visual journey.
