Mechanical Engineering students of the College of Engineering and Technology (CEAT) led by Ms. Isshi B. Buhay copped the First Place spot and the Ten Thousand Pesos cash prize in the 2nd Southern Tagalog Agriculture, Aquatic and Resources Research Development and Extension Consortium (STAARRDEC) Pitching Competition held last November 29, 2024 at DLSU Laguna Campus.

Their technology "KopiMasin" bested five other entries from Southern Tagalog Area such as DLSU Laguna, Cavite State University, etc. KopiMasin is a 4-in-one Coffee Machine that makes coffee-making more efficient and thus, more economical. Its patentable qualities are currently for filing at the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHIL).
