
A representative from the Embassy of Japan recently witnessed the fascinating art of restoration at De La Salle University-Dasmarinas.
Japan Information and Culture Center Director Shigehiro Matsuda visited DLSU-D to witness the ongoing restoration work of Ephraim Jose on two remarkable Japanese artwork dating back 250-350 years.
Jose, along with his dedicated students, demonstrated their meticulous restoration methods using authentic Japanese materials such as washi paper, brushes, and paste – a testament to his training in Japan.
Following the workshop, DLSU-D administrator led by Brother President Francisco “Sockie” dela Rosa VI FSC, VPIEA Dr. Sonia Gementiza, Museo Director Mary Ann Salvador, and Linkages Director Dr. George Francisco, warmly welcomed Director Matsuda to the University.
