Senior High School students and teachers from DLSU-D will get the opportunity to become scholars at the University of Saint Joseph Macao.
Based on the recently signed Memorandum of Agreement between USJ and DLSU-D, USJ will provide a scholarship opportunity for one SHS student for undergraduate program starting on the academic year 2024-2025.
USJ will cover the full tuition fee for the standard duration of the program with yearly performance review for renewal of the eligible candidate. A similar offer from USJ will be awarded for the Academic Years of 2025-2026 and 2026-2027.
On the part of the University, DLSU-D will cover the travel expenses, living stipend, monthly subsidy, and comprehensive medical insurance of the chosen student.
USJ will also open a full scholarship for its Masters program to an eligible teacher of the Senior High School with DLSU-D shouldering the cost for travel, living stipend and comprehensive medical insurance.
The scholarship grantees will need to shoulder their full Residential Hall rental fee for the duration of the program.
“We pursue these types of partnerships because we want to present and expose our students to various careers and study options after SHS and also remind us to continue to improve our standards so that our students are eligible to study also in foreign universities,” said SHS Principal Marlon Pareja upon the signing of the agreement.
The Memorandum of Agreement was signed by Brother President Francisco “Sockie” dela Rosa for DLSU-D while Dr. Alvaro Barbosa, University of Saint Joseph-Macao's Vice Rector for Internationalization and External Affairs, represented USJ during the signing.
