
Maria Augusta Stacey L. Benitez, a 4th-year BS Business Economics student at DLSU-D, won the "Best Research Abstract" award in the Undergraduate Category (Social Sciences) at the 2nd International Research Conference on Education and Social Sciences.
Themed "Global Perspectives, Local Solutions: Research in Education and Social Sciences," the conference was organized by the Asian Society for Productivity and Innovation in Research and Education. The "Best Research Abstract" is one of the event’s two major awards, alongside "Best Presenter."
Benitez’s study, "Homeownership and Its Effects on Human Development Index: A Comparative Study Among Selected ASEAN Nations," stood out among numerous submissions. Held via Zoom, the conference gathered educators and scholars from around the world to exchange research and insights.
Her achievement highlights her dedication to academic excellence and research, while also showcasing the Allied Business Department’s commitment to fostering a culture of inquiry and rigorous scholarship.
