DLSU-D's Lasallian Community Development Center (LCDC), in partnership with De La Salle Philippines (DLSP) and De La Salle Lipa, took part in Brigada Eskwela 2025 to support schools in Leyte.
Volunteers from the three institutions helped repair classrooms and clean the grounds of San Miguel Elementary School, Luan Elementary School, and Mercyville Elementary School. Repairs were also made to classrooms previously donated by DLSP. In addition, the team donated 817 sets of school supplies to the three schools.
The activity is part of the Leyte Mission, an ongoing effort under the One La Salle Yolanda Recovery and Rehabilitation Project, aimed at supporting schools affected by Typhoon Yolanda.
Representing DLSU-D were Dr. Grace Red, Ms. Melanie Malabanan, Mr. Jhoven Paulite, and Engr. Irish Polinga. DLSP was represented by Krizzhia Rosero and Mr. Gladstone A. Cuarteros, while DLS-Lipa sent Ms. Michelle Lanunio, Ms. Maricel Perez, Ms. Rhea Bayeta, and Mr. Julio Goce.
This initiative underscores the Lasallian commitment to service and community engagement.
