Museo De La Salle (MDLS) recently hosted renowned textile expert and curator Sandra Castro-Baker, who shared valuable insights on the museum's textile collection.
Castro-Baker advised on preservation techniques and suggested improvements for the MDL’s tour guiding program.
MDL also supported Cavite historians Jeffrey Lubang and Philip Medina in their research on the Manto (mantle) of the Virgen de la Soledad de Porta Vaga, located in Cavite City.
Alongside church historian Fr. Vir Mendoza, the group explored historical sites such as Fort San Felipe, the Gervasio Pangilinan Ancestral Home, and Café Anix, while sampling local delicacies like Digman Halo-Halo and Baloy’s Ensaymada de Cavite.
This cultural immersion provided MDL with new perspectives and research opportunities to further their commitment to preserving and promoting Cavite’s rich heritage.
