More than 20 ocean-focused startups from around the world gathered at DLSU-D for NOA2025: Narwhale Ventures Ocean Accelerator, a pioneering event advancing sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the Blue Economy.
Organized by Narwhale Ventures in partnership with DITRA Learning, DLSU-D’s College of Business Administration and Accountancy – Allied Business Department, and the University of Batangas, the program brought together startup founders, educators, industry leaders, investors, and mentors with a shared mission: to develop impactful, scalable solutions for ocean conservation and sustainable marine industries.
Startups addressed critical challenges such as marine pollution, eco-tourism, sustainable aquaculture, renewable ocean energy, and alternative seafood. The accelerator provides mentorship, pitch opportunities, and potential funding to help transform ideas into real-world solutions.
Narwhale Ventures co-founders Celine and Andreas Schulze attended the event, offering expert insights on global innovation trends and ocean impact entrepreneurship. Their involvement highlighted the value of international collaboration and mentorship in environmental innovation.
NOA2025 also emphasized integrating the Blue Economy into education and aligning efforts with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—underscoring the role of entrepreneurship in combating climate and environmental challenges.
Running from May to July 2025, the program includes intensive mentorship and global networking, culminating in a demo day where startups pitch their progress to potential investors and partners.
With the success of its 2025 launch, the NOA program is set to expand its reach, scale more ventures, and deepen academic-industry partnerships in the years ahead.
