The Lasallian Community Development Center (LCDC) recently held a one-day Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid Training in Barangay Tua, Magallanes, Cavite.
The training was conducted in response to findings from the Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (CBDRRM) program. It aimed to raise disaster preparedness awareness, teach life-saving skills, and boost the community’s emergency response capabilities.
A total of 29 local leaders—including barangay officials, health workers, teachers, 4Ps leaders, and cooperative representatives—were trained in CPR, wound care, bandaging, lifting and moving techniques, and handling medical and trauma emergencies.
This initiative underscores LCDC’s ongoing commitment to community empowerment and resilience.
