De La Salle University-Dasmariñas continues to expand its global engagement initiatives through Beyond Borders: The Embassy Lecture Series, the flagship internationalization program of the university’s Linkages and Scholarship Office.
The program brings embassies from countries such as Japan, Spain, Brazil, Timor-Leste, Indonesia, and the United States to campus, fostering cross-cultural understanding and strengthening international collaboration within the Lasallian community.
Through a combination of cultural immersion activities and academic orientations, Beyond Borders introduces students and educators to global opportunities in language learning, scholarships, exchange programs, and international partnerships. Activities have included basic Nihongo lessons, kimono demonstrations, and embassy-led discussions on study opportunities abroad.
The initiative also promotes professional development and academic collaboration. One of its highlights was the English Language Teacher Training program co-hosted with the U.S. Embassy’s Regional English Language Office (RELO), which equipped educators with innovative and globally informed teaching strategies.
By connecting the DLSU-D community with international partners, Beyond Borders continues to promote cultural appreciation, global citizenship, and meaningful international engagement.
