Third-year Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) students Janine Breboneria and Kenshin Anne Valdez from De La Salle University–Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) are set to participate in the “Java Journey Immersion 2026,” an international academic program in Indonesia.
The students officially signed their contracts marking their participation in the week-long immersion scheduled from April 19 to 25 at Universitas Ciputra Surabaya. The program aims to enhance students’ global exposure through hands-on learning in digital innovation, collaborative project development, and cross-cultural engagement in the field of technology.
Organized as part of DLSU-D’s internationalization efforts, the immersion will provide participants with opportunities to work alongside peers from different cultural and academic backgrounds, strengthening both their technical competencies and global perspective.
The contract signing ceremony was attended by university officials and the students’ parents, highlighting the institution’s support for global learning initiatives. Present during the event were Dr. Nor Cachuela, Vice President for Global Engagement; Ms. Marivic Mitschek, Dean of the College of Information and Computer Studies (CICS); Dr. Irene Gueco, Director for Linkages; and Ms. Agnes Olarte, International Mobility Officer.
Through programs like the Java Journey Immersion, DLSU-D continues to expand its global partnerships and provide students with transformative learning experiences beyond the classroom.
