De La Salle University–Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) officially opened the month of April with its monthly flag raising ceremony held in front of the Ayuntamiento de Gonzalez Building, bringing together members of the academic community in a shared moment of unity and welcome.
The ceremony was led by the College of Science, which facilitated the program attended by students, faculty, and university personnel. The regular gathering served not only as a patriotic observance but also as a platform for introducing a special guest to the Lasallian community.
Highlighting the event was the warm welcome for Br. Eduardo Rivera, FSC, a visiting Lasallian Brother from Peru. His arrival marks a significant addition to the university’s academic and cultural environment, reinforcing DLSU-D’s commitment to global engagement and internationalization.
Br. Rivera is set to teach Spanish at the university for the duration of his stay, offering students the opportunity to enhance their language skills while gaining insights into Hispanic culture. His presence is expected to enrich the academic experience of students, particularly those interested in foreign languages and cross-cultural learning.
The ceremony concluded with a sense of anticipation as the community looks forward to the contributions of Br. Rivera in the coming months, further strengthening the university’s mission of holistic and globally relevant education.
