The Lasallian entrepreneurial spirit takes center stage as students and alumni from De La Salle University–Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) earn national recognition in The Next Big Food Entrepreneur 2026 finals held at Mercato Centrale.
Two Lasallian-led ventures proudly secured spots among the Top 10 finalists, highlighting the strength of DLSU-D’s Entrepreneurship program in cultivating innovative and market-ready concepts.
Leading the student contingent is Viva Fresca, a beverage brand developed by current fourth-year Entrepreneurship students. The concept focuses on nutritious, plant-based drinks featuring locally inspired ingredients such as serpentina and tanglad—offering a refreshing take on health-conscious consumption.
Joining them is Drenched, a brand founded by DLSU-D Entrepreneurship alumni. Known for its visually striking, layered beverages, Drenched combines aesthetic appeal with refreshing flavors, capturing the interest of modern consumers and food enthusiasts alike.
The competition, organized under the Mercato Academy, gathers the country’s most promising food entrepreneurs, showcasing innovative products ranging from beverages to emerging snack concepts. The finals took place on April 18, drawing crowds of food lovers, industry players, and supporters eager to witness the next breakthrough in the Philippine food scene.
The strong showing of DLSU-D participants reflects the university’s continued commitment to experiential learning and enterprise development, empowering students and graduates to translate ideas into viable businesses.
Lasallians and the wider community were encouraged to visit the finalists’ booths during the event proper and support these homegrown brands as they represent DLSU-D on a national platform.
With initiatives like these, DLSU-D reinforces its role in shaping future-ready entrepreneurs who contribute to innovation and local industry growth.
