DLSU-D SHS student Patricia Concepcion was named the champion at the recently concluded Cupcake Decorating Contest organized by Olivarez College Tagaytay Technical Vocational Livelihood Fair.
According to one of her coaches, Ana Cerezo, only the Grade 12 TVL 22 student expressed an interest in joining the contest among her classmates.
“She’s actually the only participant from our school. We are really proud of her because among the outputs of the participants, she had the most unique and elegant designs of cupcakes which we believe made her the champion in the said competition. Another factor I think that helped her to be the top among the participants of the contest is her excellency in whatever she does. Since Grade 11, she has been excelling in academics even in this challenging set-up that we have, the online set-up,” Cereza said.
Another one of Concepcion's coaches, Roel Sible said that he was very happy when Patricia told him about the result of the competition.
“Patricia sent me a message regarding the results of the competition. She was thanking me for the trust and support that was given to her. And I was super happy and really proud of her that she represented our school. She grabbed the opportunity and won the competition. Sabi nga nila " Take advantage of every opportunity,” he said as he encouraged other students to take on future challenges with courage and confidence.
