DLSU-D SHS student Nikki Alexis Antonio bagged a 2nd place finish for the Science News Writing - Secondary Level category in the recently concluded 19th World Cup Philippines National Virtual Conference and Online Contest.
According to Antonio, the participants were tasked to write a 10-paragraph story about the two Filipinos who were featured in the Forbes 30 under 30 Asian List after founding Eskwelabs, a Manila-based startup which aims to equip Filipinos with data skills that would be relevant in the years to come.
Antonio said that she was surprised to learn that she was among the winners but she was very thankful for landing second place.
“When the EIC announced my win, I was very delighted even though I've only reached second place. It's enough for me that I get to write under the category that I love the most,” she said.
