The Lasallian Mission Office of DLSU-D, in collaboration with LINKOD students from the Basic Education Division, recently conducted an outreach activity at the Female Ward of Tagaytay City Jail and the BJMP GMA City Jail.
This initiative was part of the university's Paskong Lasalyano 2024: Gift-Giving project, which seeks to bring joy and support to underserved communities during the Christmas season.
The outreach allowed the students to connect with female Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at Tagaytay City Jail, where they engaged in meaningful conversations and learned valuable life lessons, fostering a deeper sense of understanding and empathy.
At GMA City Jail, the group held a "kumustahan" session with the PDLs, a heartfelt exchange that provided emotional support and established a bond of solidarity between the students and the PDLs.
Through this outreach activity, the participants not only provided material gifts but also nurtured a sense of connection and upliftment for the PDLs, reflecting the Lasallian spirit of reaching out to those in need, especially during the holiday season.
Animo La Salle!
