The Senior High School delegation of De La Salle University-Dasmarinas brought home multiple medals from the Dasmarinas City Athletics Meet.
The swimming team led the medal haul with 32 medals from individual and group events. Leading the pack was Mao Zeth Abel who took gold for the 400 M and 200 M freestyle events. He also placed third in the 100 M butterfly event. Kieff Andrei Onil Samala placed 1st in the 100 M breaststroke category and 2nd place in the 200 M breaststroke. John Carlo Ramos took the silver medal for the 50 M breaststroke event while their teammates from the boys division received the silver medal for the 4x50 freestyle and bronze for the 4x50 M medley relay race.
For the girls’ team, Alaire Momuelo cleaned up at the individual event with a gold for the 100 M freestyle, as well as silvers for the 200 M and 50 M freestyle, 50 M butterfly and 100 M butterfly events. Gwyneth Magale also took third place in the 200 M backstroke event.
For the group events, DLSU-D’s SHS team took the bronze in the 4 x 50 medley relay, 4 x 50 M freestyle relay, and 4 x 100 freestyle relay.
For the DLSU-D Taekwondo team, Katherine Kea A. Andaya took the gold for the Poomsae Category B. For the Kyorugi event, Louis Lane Navarro placed second (middleweight), while Hannah Louise Camus received the Bronze (lightweight). For the boys, Gabriel Macatangay, Khrister Ivan Ibana and Jullian Marco Diaz placed third in the middleweight, welterweight and heavyweight categories.
For table tennis, Loren Joyce P. Rosell emerged as the singles champion for girls. Chelsea Estuista, Rhianna Shae Palaruan, and Katrina Angelene Alamo bagged second place while Henry Gertos took the bronze for the boys. The DLSU-D team also did well in badminton, with the girls and boys doubles teams bringing home the silver and bronze finishes.
