CTHM students and faculty brought home 3 Gold and 2 Bronze medals at the 15th National Food Showdown held at the University of Batangas.
- MCocktail Mixing “Lambanog”: Althea Kyla Ebriega, mentored by Dr. Pierre Potenciana Pineda
- Napkin Folding:Isiah Jendric Dehesa, mentored by Wiziel Napod
- Regional Fruit Jams and Preserves: Hee Su Lee, mentored by Fulepro Alberto Madrilejos
Gold Medalists:
- Best Traditional/Modern Regional Cooking: ADonita Angelica Aguirre and Baldwayne Aldsie Kadatuan, mentored by Fulepro Alberto Madrilejos and Chef Sean Contreras
Bronze Medalist:
In the professional category, Mae Casiles, Irma Gatdula, and Fulepro Alberto Madrilejos earned bronze in the Wedding Cake competition. Additionally, John Richard Ofiana, Janea Reign Aguilar, and Michaela Sacueza, mentored by Anna Liza A. Tibayan, secured 4th place in the HRT Quiz Bee.

DLSU-D baking and culinary instructor Fulepro Alberto Madrilejos expressed his pride in the Hospitality Management Department’s achievements.
“This is the best achievement that we had in many years in the latest edition of the National Food Showdown where more than 35 colleges, universities, hotels and restaurants participated, from Luzon to Visayas,” Madrilejos said.
This participation was supported by the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management Student Government fund and HRMS technical assistance.
