Members of the Graphics and Multimedia Teams of the Strategic Communications Office spearheaded a training on design and photography basics to empower faculty and staff members in delivering engaging content.
The workshop, entitled “From Basic to Epic: Unlock Your Design Potentials,” sought to upgrade the participants' skills in delivering and creating output for publications, social media postings, and videos.
Senior Graphics Designer Christopher John Catapang talked about the Principles of Design and discussed the University’s guidelines on using the official seal. Veteran multimedia specialist Jojo Romerosa also shared his insights on Visual Storytelling through photography, where he shared techniques on taking compelling pictures that evoke emotion.
Graphic artist Zak Periodico provided a live demonstration on the use of Canva to create publication materials, while senior multimedia artist Evie San Jose unlocked the participants' interest in creating videos through Canva.
Top administrators, including University President Br. Inigo Riola FSC, Chief Administrative Officer Dr. Sonia Gementiza, and Provost Dr. George Francisco also shared messages to inspire the participants to explore their creativity.
The event was held in partnership with the Information and Communications Technology Center’s ITRain series, and the Human Resource Management Office.
