On January 30, the Lasallian community at DLSU-D honors Saint Mutien-Marie Wiaux, patron saint of the College of Criminal Justice Education.
Born in Mellet, Belgium, on March 20, 1841, Saint Mutien-Marie was known for his devotion, discipline, and unwavering commitment to the rules. A humble and faithful brother, his dedication to education left a lasting impact. After his death in 1917, miracles attributed to him led to his canonization in 1989, and his relics are now venerated in a shrine in Malonne, Belgium.
His life embodies the Lasallian values of faith, humility, and commitment to education, inspiring the DLSU-D community to reflect on these ideals and uphold the true spirit of Lasallian mission.
