DLSU-D clinched a Silver award in the Social Media category and secured a place among the Top 15 Teams in the inaugural Communications Olympiad held in Meralco Center in Pasig.
The university was represented by DLSUD-GHATTS, a team of Bachelor of Arts in Communication students — Chrysler De Ocampo, Shyna Callano, Rovin Buenaobra, Gabriella Angela Melgarejo, and Tenshi Taro — mentored by Mr. Marco Polo. Their strong storytelling, digital strategy, and content creation secured national recognition.
The Social Media category, one of the Olympiad’s key highlights, evaluated teams based on content quality, audience engagement, and storytelling impact. DLSUD-GHATTS stood out alongside top institutions, sharing the Silver spot with the University of the Cordilleras, while Mindoro State University took Gold, and Tarlac State University earned Bronze.
Aside from this, DLSU-D was also recognized as one of the Top 15 Teams in the competition out of a diverse number of universities across the country. This double recognition in the Communications Olympiad is a testament to the creativity, collaboration, and communication excellence fostered at DLSU-D.
