De La Salle University-Dasmariñas honored the legacy of the late Senator Ramon Revilla Sr. through the conferment of the Don Ramon Revilla Sr. Professorial Chair in Liberal Arts and Communication, held at the Ayuntamiento de Gonzalez Reception Room.
The program included messages from university administrators, a tribute to the donor, the unveiling of the professorial chair symbol, and a lecture delivered by Dr. Jeffrey A. Lubang titled “Jose Acuña Bautista aka Ramon Revilla, Sr.: Ang Naratibo ng Kanyang Buhay Pamilya, Buhay Pelikula at Buhay.” The lecture examined Revilla’s contributions to the local film industry and his influence as both a public figure and cultural icon.
Members of the Revilla family—former Mayor Andrea Bautista Ynares, Marlon Bautista, and Rowena Bautista—expressed their appreciation for the recognition and scholarship dedicated to their father’s legacy.
"Dr. Lubang’s selection as the inaugural recipient of the Don Ramon Revilla Senior Professorial Chair, is both a culmination and a beginning,” Ynares said.
“His professorial lecture demonstrates an initial curiosity maturing into an expertise—that now contributes to this academic discipline and students,” she added.
