Representatives from De La Salle University–Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) recently visited Marinduque State University (MarSU) for a courtesy meeting and benchmarking activity aimed at fostering academic collaboration and sharing institutional best practices.
The engagement provided an opportunity for both universities to exchange insights and experiences in key areas, including research, information technology, and strategic communications. University representatives discussed initiatives, programs, and systems that support innovation, institutional development, and stakeholder engagement.
As part of the visit, leaders from DLSU-D and MarSU explored potential areas for collaborative research, particularly studies related to the long-term environmental, social, and economic impacts of the mining incident that affected the province three decades ago. The discussions highlighted the importance of evidence-based research in addressing community concerns and contributing to sustainable development.
The benchmarking activity reflects DLSU-D’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with higher education institutions and advancing research that responds to societal needs. Through collaborations such as these, the University continues to promote knowledge exchange, innovation, and academic excellence in service of communities.
