De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D), through its Center for Student Admissions (CSA) and in coordination with the different colleges, recently conducted its 4-day "Byaheng La Salle" College Immersion Tour. The event ran from April 25 to April 29, 2026.
Program Schedule and Participation
The immersion tour was organized into four batches to give focused attention to each academic discipline. Incoming freshmen and their parents/guardians joined the following schedules:
- April 25 - College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) & College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology (CEAT)
- April 27 - College of Science (COS) & College of Information and Computer Studies (CICS)
- April 28 - College of Education (COED) & College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE)
- April 29 - College of Liberal Arts and Communication (CLAC) & College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM)
A Firsthand Look at College Life
"Byaheng La Salle" is one of the CSA’s newest marketing and recruitment initiatives. It aims to give prospective students a "firsthand experience" of their preferred courses. Unlike general campus tours, this program was college-specific, allowing attendees to participate in actual class immersions in selected programs and interact directly with faculty members.
Participants were also given the chance to see the university's equipment and facilities up close. Each day started with a career orientation by the CSA Marketing and Recruitment Associate Ms. Mary Jane Baterna and welcoming remarks by the University Provost Dr. Christian George Francisco, followed by the tour led by the colleges and assisted by their respective student governments.
Looking Forward
This marks the first time the University has held this event, with plans to make it an annual activity. Ms. Jacquelyn Torres, Associate Director for Marketing and Recruitment, shared the vision for the program:
"Through Byaheng La Salle, we want to help students visualize their future here. We are happy with the turnout, and we plan to conduct this immersion tour yearly to continue helping students and parents make the right choice for their college education."
Leadership and Coordination
The Center for Student Admissions is led by its Director, Romano Angelico Ebron, along with Jacquelyn Torres (Associate Director, Marketing and Recruitment Unit) and Carolyn Jardiniano (Associate Director, Admission and Testing Unit) under the Office of the University Vice Provost Dr. Mary Felidora Florinor Amparo and University Provost Dr. Christian George Francisco.
The CSA also acknowledges the College Representatives who spearheaded the activities:
