The De La Salle University–Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) community joyfully concluded its Holy Week observance through the celebration of Easter Sunday, with the Holy Eucharist presided over by University Chaplain Ashpaul A. Castillo at the University Chapel.
Following days of solemn reflection and prayer, the Easter Sunday Mass marked a powerful transition from mourning to hope as Lasallians gathered to rejoice in the Resurrection of Christ. Following this was the mass-goers partaking in a simple salu-salo.
In the days leading up to Easter, the University faithfully observed the sacred traditions of Holy Week. The journey began with Palm Sunday, commemorating Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem. This was followed by deeply rooted Filipino and Catholic practices such as the Pabasa ng Pasyon ng Panginoon and Pagtatanod sa Santisimo Sakramento, fostering a spirit of devotion and vigil.
The community also took part in the Daan ng Krus, reflecting on Christ’s suffering, and the Banal na Misa ng Huling Hapunan, remembering the institution of the Eucharist. The solemnity continued with the Pagpaparangal sa Krus na Banal and Pagninilay sa Pitong Huling Wika ng Panginoong Hesus, moments that invited deeper contemplation of sacrifice and redemption. These culminated in the Easter Vigil, a sacred anticipation of Christ’s triumph over death.
With the celebration of Easter Sunday, the DLSU-D community embraced the message of renewal and new life. The Mass served not only as the conclusion of Holy Week but as a renewed call for Lasallians to carry the light of hope, faith, and love into their daily lives.
