De La Salle University–Dasmariñas, through its Center for Student Admissions (CSA), met with officials of the Municipality of Silang for the renewal of the University’s Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the municipality. The meeting was held on January 13, 2026. The CSA administrators also conducted an initial courtesy visit to the neighboring Municipality of Amadeo on the same day.
Renewal of MOA With Silang LGU
The CSA administrators Director Romano Angelico Ebron, Associate Director for Admissions and Testing Unit Carolyn Jardiniano and Associate Director for Marketing and Recruitment Unit Jacquelyn Torres were received by Silang LGU, led by Mayor Edward Carranza and represented by Municipal Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) Head Susan Malate.
Discussions centered on the renewal of the existing MOA between the University and the LGU. Under the agreement, DLSU‑D—through the CSA—serves as the official administrator of the qualifying examinations for Silang’s municipal scholarship program.
The previous agreement was valid for two years. This year, the municipality extended the partnership for an additional three years, reaffirming its confidence in the University’s testing and admissions expertise.
Role of DLSU‑D in the “Iskolar ng Silang” Program
Through the renewed MOA, the University will administer the Silang Local Government Unit–Iskolar ng Silang Qualifying Examination (SLGU‑ISQE). The assessment consists of both an Achievement Test and an Aptitude Test for incoming freshmen applicants for AY 2026–2027.
The “Iskolar ng Silang” program aims to provide educational opportunities to deserving Silang residents. After the examination, DLSU‑D will submit the results to the LGU for ranking. These rankings will serve as the basis for selecting the final list of municipal scholars. Applicants who choose to enroll at DLSU‑D will also be exempted from taking the DLSU-D Student Admissions Test (DSAT).
A formal MOA signing ceremony will be scheduled soon.
Courtesy Visit to Amadeo Municipality

During the visit, the CSA presented its services and discussed potential partnerships related to testing, admissions, and student recruitment initiatives. The engagement forms part of the University’s strategy to strengthen program promotion and boost enrollment.
