De La Salle University–Dasmariñas (DLSU-D), through its College of Professional and Graduate Studies (CPGS), has entered into a strategic partnership with the Union of Enterprising Cooperatives to develop a Certificate and Development Program in Cooperative Management.
The initiative marks a significant step toward enhancing leadership and management capabilities within the cooperative sector. Designed with both academic and industry relevance in mind, the program offers participants three credit units, which may be credited toward any graduate program in the University—creating a more accessible pathway for continuing education and professional growth.
The partnership was formalized through a contract signing attended by key University officials, including Dr. George Francisco, Dr. Nor Cachuela, Dr. Mavi Aguilar, Dr. Leo Manansala, and Dr. Irene Gueco. Representing UNECO were Ms. Sheryll Loyola, Mr. Abraham Saldivia, and Mr. Bernie Malabunga.
Grounded in a shared vision of developing ethical and future-ready leaders, the collaboration aims to equip participants with practical knowledge and strategic perspectives needed to navigate evolving economic and social challenges. More than a program, it reflects a joint commitment to empowering cooperatives as key drivers of inclusive growth and community development.
