Adhikaing Ganap para sa Yaring Kabuhayan (AGAPAY) won first place in the Uniservitate Awards 2026 for the Asia and Oceania region on August 5, 2026 at the University of Saint Joseph in Macau. The citation is the first international recognition De La Salle University-Dasmariñas has received for service-learning.
Ms. Mary Daffodil B. Cordero, CTHM Faculty and AGAPAY Mentor and Adviser, and Ms. Chloe Mhabel Chavez, CTHM Student and AGAPAY Student Implementer of "AGAPAY: Pang-OTSO Na!", accepted the award.
Established in 2018, AGAPAY translates classroom learning into community empowerment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihood, carrying the Lasallian mission of service into partner communities. It is a collaborative initiative of the CTHM Hospitality Management Department, the Lasallian Community Development Center (LCDC), and the Hotel and Restaurant Management Society Program Council (HRMSPC).
For DLSU-D, this recognition reflects the work of the students, faculty members, partners, and communities who have sustained AGAPAY over the past eight years, and affirms service-learning as a model for turning education into social transformation.
