To heed the CBCP National Call to Prayer and Public Repentance, De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) kicked off with its commitment to support truth, transparency, and accountability.
“Today, we unveil not only a declaration but a promise— to uphold integrity in our formation, to be critical thinkers and compassionate doers, and to make Hope Happen through honest service and prophetic action,” Br. Iñigo Riola FSC said during the Prayer Service for Truth, Transparency and Integrity in Public Service held at the University Chapel.
At noon, Basic Education Division students prayed the Angelus followed by a 15-minute chant for integrity. In the afternoon, a Eucharistic Celebration was held, followed by a candle-lighting ceremony, the reading of the CBCP circular, and the tying of white ribbons around the Br. Gus Boquer FSC Heritage Complex.
The observance continues every Friday until November 23, with students and staff encouraged to wear white shirts or ribbons. All Friday Masses will be dedicated to the CBCP’s intentions on October 24, 31, and November 7, 14, and 21. In the Basic Education Division, students will pray the “Prayer Intention Against Corruption” daily before the Angelus, and chant for integrity every Friday for 10 to 15 minutes.
