The DLSU-D Junior Patriots emerged as champions in the Hotshot Basketball Philippines 3rd International Cup held from July 25 to 27, 2025 at 3rd Fitness Club, Quezon City.
The team displayed remarkable skill and determination, defeating top contenders and securing the championship trophy. Their performance was fueled by solid teamwork and an undeniable Lasallian spirit throughout the three-day tournament.
Dwayne Marasigan was awarded Finals MVP, while Jade Alanza earned a spot in the tournament’s Mythical 6, highlighting the team’s dominance on the court.
The team was composed of: Jade D. Alanza, Michael Jan M. Alix Jr., Mark Angelo P. Camañag, Cyrus John C. Dalosa, Ivan B. Dimasayao, David Mark R. Legaspi, Shean Andrei A. Nallana, Jan Dominique V. Turko, Jervin R. Encabo, Dwayne Joseph P. Marasigan, John Marius D. Valerio, Jacenty Khayri D. Abarquez, John Rudolf C. Piaca, Arson Suiven T. Añonuevo, Lord Eriol Tee, and John Allen Kayne S. Gales.
They were coached by Ryan Dalosa, Tito Jr. Reyes, EJ Alvaran, Wilnor Padigos, and Herculano Balaba.
Up next, the Junior Patriots are gearing up for an even bigger stage as they proudly represent the Philippines in the World Youth Championship in Singapore from August 8 to 11, 2025. This marks the first time the DLSU-D high school team will compete internationally—an exciting milestone for the team and the university community.
