De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) joined 10 Luzon-based Lasallian institutions, alongside the University of St. La Salle (USLS) and St. Joseph School in Bacolod, in a unified call for justice through the Lasallian Justice and Peace Commission.
The Luzon mobilization brought together over 1,000 students, faculty, and staff who marched to the EDSA People Power Monument to denounce alleged corruption in flood control projects, demanding transparency, accountability, and systemic reform.
Prior to the march, a solidarity mass was held, with Br. Inigo Riola FSC, Brother President of DLSU-D, delivering a poignant homily.
“Corruption grows like a weed. Unfortunately, it is the poor who suffer the most. We wear white today to be light and share that light with others,” he said.
This mobilization also marked the official launch of the Philippine Lasallian Peace Month for Democracy and Human Rights, observed from September 21 to October 20, 2025. The initiative reaffirms the Lasallian community’s enduring commitment to justice, peace, and the protection of human dignity.
