The De La Salle Brothers, headed by Br. Armin Luistro, Superior General of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, addressed Lasallians who have been appointed to key posts in investigating the alleged corruption in the country’s multi-billion-peso flood control projects.
The letter was addressed to DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon, Independent Commission Chair Justice Andres Reyes, and commission members Rogelio Singson and Rosanna Fajardo.
“As we extend our warm congratulations on your appointments, please be assured of our prayers and fraternal support. We stand with you in uncovering the truth, correcting what is wrong, and advancing the cause of good governance and uncompromising accountability,” the letter stated.
“We are confident that you will meet the responsibility with courage and fortitude, living up to the highest Lasallian ideals and expectations of the Filipino people for truth, transparency, accountability, and justice.”
In addition to Br. Armin, Br. Iñigo Riola FSC, president of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas; Br. Bernard Oca FSC, president of De La Salle University, De La Salle Araneta University, De La Salle Santiago Zobel, and St. Jaime Hilario School - De La Salle Bataan; Br. Kenneth Martinez FSC, president of the University of St. La Salle and St. Joseph School - La Salle; Br. Edmundo Fernandez FSC, president of De La Salle College of St. Benilde, La Salle Green Hills, and De La Salle Lipa; Br. Rey Mejias FSC, president of La Salle Ozamiz, and Br. Marvin Sipin FSC, chairman of De La Salle Brothers, Inc., also signed the letter.
