Tourism Management students and faculty from De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) recently earned international recognition at the 17th World Tourism Conference held at Sookmyung Women’s University in Seoul, South Korea.
Students Pia Jarito, Mary Gigian Morales, and Mary Joy Olasiman received the Young Scholar Award for their research titled “Authenticity of Selected Indian Restaurants in Dasmariñas City, Philippines,” under the mentorship of Dr. Irene Gueco.
Another DLSU-D team composed of Jann Carlo Teodoro, Jesher Davis Leyte, and Jin Takahashi also won the Young Scholar Award for their study “Socio-Demographic Characteristics Towards Service Quality of Local Coffee Shops in Cavite, Philippines,” guided by Dr. Jimford Tabuyo
Further underscoring his contributions to tourism research, Dr. Tabuyo was appointed as a member of the Editorial Board of the World Journal Research during the event.
These achievements reflect DLSU-D’s strong commitment to advancing tourism education and research that foster cultural insight, service excellence, and global competitiveness.
