De La Salle University–Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) has partnered with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region IV-A and the Office for Alternative Dispute Resolution (OADR) to launch the Barangay Justice System Training Program (B-JUST), a capacity-building initiative aimed at strengthening community-level justice mechanisms.
Officials from the three institutions met at the School of Governance, DLSU-D, to finalize the program’s design, objectives, and implementation plans in preparation for its inaugural offering. The meeting underscored the shared commitment of the partners to promote effective, accessible, and peaceful dispute resolution at the barangay level.
Scheduled from March 7 to April 11, 2026, the B-JUST Program is open to Punong Barangay from Cavite and Laguna. The training is designed to enhance participants’ understanding of the barangay justice system and alternative dispute resolution processes, equipping local leaders with practical tools to manage conflicts within their communities.
Through this tri-party collaboration, DLSU-D, DILG IV-A, and OADR aim to empower barangay officials, reinforce good governance, and contribute to more responsive and community-centered justice practices across the region.
