The School of Governance, Public Service, and Corporate Leadership (SGPSCL) aspires to become an academic oasis for ethical and strategic leaders dedicated to the advancement of a just, peaceful, and sustainable society.

- Extension. Design and implement community development initiatives that strengthen local governance and promote public awareness and engagement on various socio-economic, cultural, and political issues particularly sustainability challenges.
ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
- Master in Sustainable Leadership and Governance (MSLG).The MSLG, an innovative professional track master’s degree program, is thoughtfully designed to provide students with a holistic education in sustainability leadership and governance. Grounded in a strong ethical foundation, it offers comprehensive theoretical understanding and practical knowledge enabling students to effectively lead public institutions, private enterprises, and civil society organizations in pursuit of progressive, just, and sustainable communities and societies.
- Certificate Programs. The SGPSCL provides an array of creative courses that grant certificates of completion, which can be applied as credits towards the Master in Sustainable Leadership and Governance program.
ACADEMIC OBJECTIVES
It is the goal of SGPSCL to develop and offer innovative academic programs responsive to the needs of society for ethical and strategic leadership and governance. Specifically, SGPSCL aims to:
- Align degree program offerings with the university’s and SGPSCL’s vision, grounded on sound educational philosophy, proven pedagogical approaches, and insightful research.
- Critique the curricula of the existing academic programs for theoretical soundness, practical relevance, and innovativeness.
- Assess the needs of governmental and non-governmental leaders and offer certificate programs that address them.
- Design and implement academic policies and guidelines in conformity with the university’s standards and existing laws and regulations.
- Evaluate the impact of the academic programs through commissioned research.
- Mobilize resources and support to ensure continuous offering and improvement of the degree and non-degree programs, especially the certificate courses offered at no cost.
- Introduce innovations in the delivery of degree and non-degree programs, adhering to government regulations.
- Conduct benchmarking and quality assurance initiatives to enhance program offerings.
RESEARCH OBJECTIVES
SGPSCL intends to serve as a hub for sound, relevant, and innovative research, particularly in the areas of leadership, governance, and sustainability. Specifically, the SGPSCL seeks to:
- Review local and national public policies from both theoretical and practical vantage points.
- Examine sustainability issues in the light of established principles and contemporary scientific findings.
- Serve as a learning resource for local and national capacity-enhancement initiatives.
- Evaluate government programs and projects based on established criteria.
- Adopt research thrusts, policies, and guidelines that align with the school’s vision-mission and core values.
- Refer research findings to appropriate government agencies or non-government organizations for dissemination and/or implementation.
- Collaborate with research institutions, government agencies, and non-government organizations in conducting research on leadership, governance, and sustainable development.
- Highlight the university’s demonstrative capabilities in the conduct of relevant and innovative research.

OBJECTIVES FOR EXTENSION
SGPSCL intends to design and implement community development initiatives that strengthen local governance and promote public awareness and engagement on various socio-economic, cultural, and political issues particularly sustainability challenges.
Under the banner of Lasallian Initiatives for Governance and Advocacy (LIGA), the community extension endeavors of SGPSCL will focus on empowering the barangays, with the following specific objectives:
- Build the leadership capacities of barangay officials.
- Advance the rights and interests of the disadvantaged sectors of the society.
- Recognize sustainable community programs and projects.
- Advocate for social transformation through awareness-raising projects.
- Network with governmental and non-governmental organizations.
- Generate support for community programs, projects, and advocacies.
- Assist the barangays in planning, monitoring, and evaluating community programs and projects.
- Yield programs and projects empowering the youth.
