Student-practitioners from the De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) College of Law took their oath for the Application for Level 1 Certification under the Clinical Legal Education Program (CLEP) during a ceremony held on June 23, 2026, at the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 112 in Bacoor City, Cavite.
The oath-taking ceremony marked a significant milestone in the students’ legal education, allowing them to participate in supervised clinical legal practice and provide legal assistance under the CLEP framework.
Executive Judge Hon. Amalia S. Gumapos-Ricablanca presided over the ceremony and reminded the student-practitioners of the responsibilities, ethical standards, and dedication expected of future members of the legal profession.
Representing the University administration was Atty. Dennis B. Maldo, Vice Dean of the DLSU-D College of Law and ex officio Clinic Director. He joined the students as they formally entered the next phase of their legal training.
In collaboration with the Lasallian Community Development Center (LCDC), the College continues to support the implementation of CLEP through initiatives involving Lasallian partner organizations and communities.
Through the program, student-practitioners gain practical experience in legal advocacy while contributing to efforts that promote access to justice and community service.
The ceremony marked the students’ transition into supervised clinical legal practice, where they will apply legal knowledge and skills in community-based settings under the program's guidelines.
