Graduate scholars, researchers, and academic leaders gathered at the Ayuntamiento De Gonzalez Hall for Convergence 2026: Advancing Interdisciplinary Research Paradigms in Science, Systems, and Society, a joint graduate research congress organized by the De La Salle University-Dasmariñas College of Professional and Graduate Studies (CPGS) and Centro Escolar University Graduate Studies (CEUGS).
The congress highlighted the growing importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in addressing complex societal challenges and advancing research across science, systems, and society.
The day-long event opened with cultural performances by the La Salle Filipiniana Dance Company, setting the tone for a celebration of academic excellence and innovation. This was followed by welcome remarks and a symbolic partnership signing led by DLSU-D CPGS Dean Dr. Ma. Virginia G. Aguilar and CEUGS representative Dr. Francis Michael P. Yambao, reaffirming both institutions’ commitment to collaborative research and knowledge exchange.
Distinguished keynote speakers shared insights on emerging research paradigms and the evolving role of interdisciplinary studies in higher education. The keynote sessions featured Dr. Josephine De Leon, Dr. Cris Raymund P. Viray, and Dr. Erickson A. Amion, who discussed the significance of innovation-driven scholarship in shaping responsive and sustainable communities.
In the afternoon, graduate students presented their research studies during parallel sessions that showcased diverse perspectives and academic disciplines. The presentations reflected the congress theme by integrating scientific inquiry, systems thinking, and social relevance into innovative research approaches.
The event concluded with a synthesis of discussions delivered by Ms. Jho Concepcion Lagario, followed by the awarding of the Best Paper recognitions and closing remarks from Ms. Aira Alexis P. Pacoma.
Convergence 2026 strengthened academic partnerships and provided a platform for graduate scholars to engage in meaningful dialogue, collaborative learning, and interdisciplinary research that contributes to societal development.
