The De La Salle Brothers gathered for a Mission Sending Mass for Br. John Ong FSC on August 19, 2026, as he prepares to leave for the United States to pursue doctoral studies at Saint Mary's College of California, a Lasallian university in the San Francisco Bay Area. Brothers from DLSU-D, along with Br. John's family, friends, and Lasallian Partners, joined the celebration.
Br. John served DLSU-D for two years as a member of the University's Board of Trustees and also served on the Board's Academic Committee. His service contributed to the University's governance and academic affairs during his tenure.
The Mission Sending Mass provided an opportunity for the Brothers and the Lasallian community to pray with Br. John and send him forth as he begins his new mission. The gathering also recognized his continued vocation and commitment to the Lasallian mission.
