The Lasallian Mission Festival (LMF) 2026 at De La Salle University–Dasmariñas brought together students, faculty, parents, and partners in a meaningful celebration of Lasallian identity anchored on the theme “Fratres in Unum: Faith in Communion, Mission in Action".
The festival opened with a vibrant Karakol procession and Eucharistic Celebration, setting a reflective and communal tone for the days ahead. A diverse lineup of activities followed, including creative exhibits, formation programs, outreach initiatives, and community engagements such as Likha IV: Ink by Identity, institutional convocations, bazaars, and workshops—all highlighting faith, culture, and unity in action.
A key highlight of this year’s LMF was the launch of the Lasallian Formation for Parents and Guardians led by the Parents Organization of De La Salle University–Dasmariñas, Inc. (POLCA). Centered on the theme “One Heart, One Home, One Mission,” the initiative emphasized the vital role of families as partners in education and formation. The session featured Br. Normandy C. Dujunco, FSC, whose reflection reinforced the shared mission of forming compassionate, faith-filled individuals.
Throughout the festival, activities were thoughtfully adjusted following a period of discernment by the organizing committee. In response to current socio-economic challenges affecting local communities—including fisherfolk, vulnerable families, and transportation drivers—selected events were downscaled or modified. Portions of the festival’s resources were redirected to support outreach efforts, including initiatives for fisherfolk communities and the “Pantry for Drivers” program.
Despite these adjustments, the spirit of LMF remained strong. Formation activities, academic engagements, and community events continued across multiple venues, culminating in the Institutional Closing Eucharistic Celebration and the Gawad Sinag 2026 Employee Recognition Gala on April 30.
More than a celebration, LMF 2026 became a concrete expression of Lasallian solidarity—demonstrating that true mission goes beyond festivity and finds meaning in compassionate response to the needs of others.
