Third-year students from the Bachelor of Arts in International Development (IDS) program under the College of Liberal Arts and Communication (CLAC) successfully completed the Meijo University Winter Program, held in Japan.
This milestone marks the second batch of outbound DLSU-D students to participate in the international program. Representing the Social Science Department, the participants were Jose Roberto Baldevarona, Javier Raphael Roco, Bea Louise Zacarias, and Kristine Borreros.
Throughout the three-week program, the students engaged in an immersive academic and cultural experience focused on Japanese studies. They explored Japan’s language, culture, history, and heritage through interactive lectures, cultural exchange activities, and hands-on learning experiences conducted alongside Meijo University students.
The Winter Program provided the IDS students with valuable global exposure, strengthening their cross-cultural understanding and international academic perspective—key competencies aligned with the IDS program’s commitment to global development and international engagement.
DLSU-D continues to strengthen its global partnerships and mobility programs, offering students meaningful opportunities to learn beyond the classroom and engage with diverse cultures and academic communities worldwide.
