AB Communication students of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) claimed five trophies — two Awards of Excellence and three Awards of Merit — at the 12th Philippine Student Quill Awards, conferred by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines.
The first Award of Excellence went to "Knowledge Management System of Read to Achieve Foundation Philippines (RAFPI)" under the Communication Management Division, produced by Maria Raia A. Ocampo, Marri Louise Batingal, Lyssah Bilog, Kristofer Peter Blancaflor, Vaneah Jeanne Eupratan, JeMicah Gindap, Aaron Gabriel Paguio, Jiza Camille Santiago, and David John Miguel Suva. The second recognized "Vital Signs: A Comparative Study on the Communication Practices of Filipino Sign Language Interpreters in Healthcare Pre- and Post-COVID-19 Pandemic" by Maria Raia A. Ocampo under the Communication Research Division.
The three Awards of Merit went to "MEDIAbetes: Understanding AI and Health Literacy," a public relations service-learning project by Batch Kaulayaw students, cited under both the Communication Management and the Communication Training and Education categories.
The awards place Lasallian student work alongside the country's recognized communication practice, and reflect how the program's classroom and service-learning projects address real audiences — from foundation partners to Deaf communities and patients navigating health information.
Animo La Salle! 💚🤍
