The De La Salle University–Dasmariñas College of Professional and Graduate Studies (CPGS) recently hosted a virtual guest lecture, featuring Ms. Narudee Onsri of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT).
Titled “Food and Belonging: Comfort, Community, and Gentrification,” the session engaged MA Education students from various specializations, offering a socio-cultural perspective on the role of food in shaping identity and community amid urban change.
Participants explored how culinary heritage influences feelings of comfort and belonging, while also examining the effects of gentrification on Southeast Asian communities. The discussion encouraged students to integrate broader social insights into their future roles in education, counseling, and leadership.
