In a strategic move to bolster international recruitment and academic partnerships, De La Salle University-Dasmariñas through the Center for Student Admissions (CSA) visited the Embassy of Timor-Leste on January 15.
CSA Director Romano Angelico Ebron, alongside Associate Director for Marketing and Recruitment Jacquelyn Torres and Associate Director for Admissions and Testing Carolyn Jardiniano, met with His Excellency Marciano Octavio Garcia Da Silva, Resident Ambassador-Designate of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to the Philippines, and the Embassy's Technical Coordinator Sheila Freitas.
The meeting focused on promoting the University’s academic programs and exploring potential partnerships with Timorese educational institutions. Key initiatives discussed include joint career talks and educational fairs designed to promote both Timor-Leste and DLSU-D. Ambassador Da Silva encouraged the University to pursue deeper academic collaborations, pledging the Embassy’s full support in connecting DLSU-D with prospective schools in Timor.
This visit follows the Ambassador’s initial trip to the University in November 2025, where he delivered an Embassy Lecture Series on the role of education and culture in shaping global partnerships.
