Jeepney drivers received free food and necessities as the Lasallian Mission Office – Basic Education Division launched “ANIMO TSUPER: Biyahe ng Bayanihan Community Pantry” at Magdiwang Gate (Gate 3) of De La Salle University–Dasmariñas.
Organized in coordination with the DLSU-D High School Student Council (HSSC), the initiative embodies the spirit of bayanihan through the guiding principle: “Kumuha ayon sa pangangailangan, magbigay ayon sa kakayahan.” The activity aims to support jeepney drivers—often referred to as “bayani ng kalsada”—by providing essential goods to help ease their daily challenges.
The community pantry remains open to beneficiaries while continuing to accept donations from the Lasallian community and the public. Contributions may come in the form of monetary support, food items, and other necessities that can further assist the drivers.
This first wave of “Animo Tsuper” marks the beginning of a series of planned donation drives in the coming weeks, reinforcing the University’s commitment to social responsibility and service to the community.
Through collective action and generosity, DLSU-D continues to foster compassion and solidarity—proving that small acts of kindness can create meaningful impact.
