De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) has partnered with the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) to develop a comprehensive master plan that will guide the future development of its 27-hectare campus. The collaboration was formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed on July 24 at UP Diliman.
The 12-month partnership brings together DLSU-D and the UP Diliman College of Architecture to undertake joint research and extension initiatives. The collaboration will produce a conceptual campus master plan and a 10-year implementation roadmap that will guide the phased development of infrastructure, architectural, and landscape projects aligned with the University's strategic priorities.
The agreement also provides for joint research and development projects, faculty and student exchanges, seminars and scientific meetings, extension initiatives, and the exchange of educational, technological, and scientific resources between the two institutions.
According to UP Diliman Environmental Landscape Studio Laboratory Coordinator Nappy Navarra, the master plan will focus on sustainability, heritage preservation, and establishing a distinct campus identity for the DLSU-D community.
Representing DLSU-D during the signing ceremony were University President Br. Iñigo Riola, Dr. Christian George C. Francisco, Provost; Dr. Sonia M. Gementiza, Vice President for Administration; Br. Fernando I. Sanding, Vice President for Lasallian Mission; and Engr. Jesus Graciano Timbol II of Buildings and Facilities Maintenance Office. UP Diliman was represented by Chancellor Edgardo Carlo L. Vistan II.
