
Associate Professor Marco Polo of the Communication and Journalism Department (CJD), De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, recently visited Mumbai, India, in preparation for the 31st AMIC Annual Conference, set for October 9–11, 2025.
As Vice Chair of the AMIC Board of Management, Dr. Polo conducted an ocular inspection for the event, which will focus on “Navigating Digital Transformation in Media, Public Relations, and Advertising.” He delivered an insightful lecture on “AI and the Sustainable Development Goals” at SNDT Women’s University. Hosted by the P.G Department of Computer Science under Dr. Anita Chaware, the session explored how artificial intelligence can support global sustainability efforts, drawing keen interest from students and faculty engaged in digital innovation and social impact.
Dr. Polo also met with Dr. Sunder Rajdeep, Chairperson of the Department of Communication and Journalism at the University of Mumbai, to explore potential partnerships in research, faculty exchange, and program collaboration. His visit reflects CJD's strong commitment to global academic engagement and advancing discourse in communication, technology, and development.
