In honor of the notable women in Philippine history, DLSU-D has renamed four of its campus buildings after prominent Filipinas whose contributions shaped the nation.
- The former College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) Building is now Gregoria De Jesus Hall (GDH), in honor of the “Lakambini of the Katipunan,” known for her bravery and leadership during the Philippine Revolution.
- The former Small Business Center (SBC) Building is now Doña Marcela Agoncillo Hall (MAH), named after the “Mother of the Philippine Flag” who sewed the first national flag.
- The former College of Science (COS) Building is now Dr. Fe Del Mundo Hall (FDH), recognizing the pioneering pediatrician and founder of the first pediatric hospital in the country.
- The former College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology (CEAT) Building is now Maria Salome Llanera Hall (MLH), commemorating her role in the 1896 Revolution and her post-war contributions in agriculture and civic work.
- The former College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) Building is now named Purificacion Borromeo Hall, named after the celebrated opera singer known for her contributions to the Philippine arts scene during the era of zarzuelas and operas.
This renaming initiative reflects the university’s commitment to celebrating Filipino heritage and promoting gender-inclusive historical recognition.
